Helena Rosich is a singer of jazz, blues, bossa nova and boleros, born in Girona. She began her studies in music and classical guitar at the Girona Music Conservatory. Soon she felt drawn towards many different types of music: folk, pop, jazz, blues, bossa. She listened to The Beatles, Bob Dylan, John Mayall, Van Morrison, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Joni Mitchel, Baden Powell…

Jazz and the blues captivated her and she began her studies into vocal and piano jazz, which she did at the Modern Music School in Girona and also with the Singer Anna Luna, in Sant Cugat. She has attended various international seminaries with teachers such as Donna McElroy of the Berklee College of Music and Lee Gibson of the Guildhall School of Music.

In 2015, she recorded the album Invitation, on which she was accompanied by the musicians Alexandre Carbonell, Fransesc Ubanell, Joan Martí, Adrià Bauzó and Cesar Martínez.

In 2017, she recorded the album “Feeling Bill Evans”, on which she was accompanied by the musicians Alexandre Carbonell, Manel Fortià, Gonzalo del Val and Xavier Figuerola.

And, during the summer of 2020, she has recorded her third album, “Nit de setembre”, accompanied by Joel Moreno, Horacio Fumero, Alexandre Carbonell, Xavier Figuerola and Santi Colomer.

Helena continues to delve into jazz because, for her, it is a music so rich and full of subtleties, which makes it the ideal instrument to reveal a wide range of feelings. Her strongest wish is to continue working on new ways of expression within the marvellous world of jazz.
